Although this is not your question, still: Make the system bigger! Fill your roof! I don’t understand why there should only be such a small photovoltaic system on the roof. I would now say, leave out the storage, but you probably need it for the "+" and the additional €5000 subsidy. No matter what, as almost everywhere, here too the advice: More photovoltaic area!

I also believe that a brine heat pump is less prone to faults and maintenance and simply more durable.

The compressor in air heat pumps and brine heat pumps is the same....only the outdoor unit exposed to wind and weather is missing. Fewer rotating and moving parts...no defrosting processes that can be disrupted by ice buildup and so on.

Whether the brine heat pump is financially worthwhile....we will only know in 10 to 20 years....when the first life cycles of the heat pumps are over!

This monoblock costs only €3500 to purchase. And if this thing really breaks down, a replacement can be tolerated Unfortunately, this heat pump is really not a sight to behold!

Hello,

we have installed a brine heat pump with deep drilling in our new building. How high should the hot water temperature be set? Currently, it is 45 degrees, which is sufficient for us. However, one reads that this temperature is not enough to kill Legionella. Is it enough to run a disinfection program once a week or should we set the Deo temperature significantly higher?

Thank you in advance

As you have it is sufficient. Once a week at over 60 degrees.

Better skip the thing with 60 degrees, it's unnecessary. You raise the hot water temperature to 48 degrees. Then you also have more comfort, because 45 is already relatively cool. With a hysteresis of 5 Kelvin, that would probably no longer mean properly warm water for showering.

Yo, I agree with bookstar...

The best protection against legionella is a properly sized tank, where under normal operation the entire amount of water is used up and thus renewed every 1 to a maximum of 2 days.

Even if you heat up to 60 degrees... Then you have 60 degrees in one spot, but other layers of the tank are far from that (and 55 degrees is again not enough to kill them), certainly not in the water pipes, which is especially problematic in circulation.

In general, however, you have to say that the fear of legionella is overestimated...
