Well, because the house is more or less already standing... A floor plan discussion doesn't help me much anymore; besides, our house is rather unconventional and very tailored to our needs
Not everyone liked it - that was clear, some considerations may have helped others a bit
I agree, even unconventional examples "help". For example, the house of is very well received - I find the TV spot alone phenomenal - but it would by no means be suitable for 1:1 imitation, simply because his plot is quite atypical. Also and enjoy warm support here just like or - all forum members whose plots would not have "fitted" a Flair 113. The "benefit" of presenting a house is therefore by no means only in the highest possible compatibility with the situations of others - you don't have to be able to "build in" every idea yourself.
If you don't ask for floor plan help - the big discussion won't break out either - at least that's my experience after I posted the floor plan of our house, encouraged by @11ant.
On the other hand, I have to disagree or at least relativize: those who don't ask can still get flak. In that case, it helps, for example, only to show your plans at the stage of fallen dice and/or only excerpt-wise (or not to show them excerpt-wise), but also a non-transferable situation that is protected from being compared. Examples of this are several of the aforementioned - primarily due to his in this case atypical size of the plot - or also with his multi-family house with underground parking, who also managed very well to show and even discuss it, but not to put himself in the firing line.
