Never again without induction. You no longer need a kettle, nothing burns anymore... By the way, if you put [PASSENDE] pots on the hob, nothing "radiates" past them. With a pregnant belly, you can use the back hobs, I did that too. By the way, Miele also offers special slanted extractor hoods, so no one bumps their head on them anymore.

So I'm not an excessive phone user - but a passionate cook. Still, I believe that I am more exposed to the phone's radiation than to that from the induction cooktop.

Suitable pots: well, we have the gastro induction cooktop, which has a rectangular surface that is induced, depending on which pots you place on it. I can put one large or two small ones on it. I think that's great, but none will really "fit" perfectly. Which is also the cool thing about induction: it only heats where something is placed on it. I now have really tiny pots with a 10 or 12 cm diameter for boiling eggs, warming couverture chocolate, etc. I don't need more for that, and induction won't heat anything else either.

Ours is here too. There are still a few small things missing here and there, but it’s coming along... The wall unit will still get a drywall boxing all around so that it looks "flush with the wall," and of course a baseboard as well.

Man, this is so annoying. Why do the pictures always get rotated when you post from your phone?!

Induction also has advantages over Ceran. I would prefer gas - but the complicated cleaning is not fun. A major disadvantage is the localized heat: large pan on it, put in oil and you can see where the coils are. Although the whole pan becomes hot, there are local heat differences. This must be taken into account when preparing meat.

For me, a really interesting thread. Either the cooktop is now built into a niche with little counter space next to it or on the island, where splatters can happen while preparing steaks, but the guests, who always watch the cooking, also benefit from it. Both seem to be trends.

For me, neither would be practical. We have a completely ordinary kitchen for over 15 years with a totally different layout. By now probably old-fashioned, but I still don't quite understand the purpose of these layouts.

The kitchens are visually really nice and I do like them a lot.
