Then tell that to my neighbor. It took 4 months from excavating the pit to pouring the upper floor ceiling for the shell construction. The roofer has also been working on it for a month now and there are still no tiles on it.
For us, it was also a bit more than 4 months.
However, we had a few things that were not foreseeable.
For example, the building authority manager had something against the planned crane location. So, we first had to build a corner of the basement (in-situ concrete WU), then compact the crane location there, set up the crane, and only then fully formwork the basement.
Then the supplier of the precast ceiling slabs had production problems because 2 of his 4 machines had broken down and the spare parts took time to arrive.
And last but not least, we don’t have a simple architecture...
Still, a very exciting time which we enjoyed. We had a great shell construction team and also some real characters among the other craftsmen...
And on the other hand, it was also because we kept working ourselves. For example, we sealed the basement ourselves, gave the electrician and plumber a lot of help, and also did the flat roof completely ourselves.
Now we are currently working on the outdoor facilities.
I would build again immediately, but my wife still has something against it...
