Wood stoves are becoming less common. Next year the big tiled stove die-off is coming

Concerns old stoves. There is an exhaust regulation and the grace/transition period then ends.
Must concern stoves from the late 70s to early 80s.

The opposite is true. Or do you have evidence?

The stoves have recently been burning extremely cleanly, and especially with the introduction of heat pumps, more and more people are relying on backup wood.

It is also CO2 neutral compared to oil and gas, as it is a renewable resource.

It concerns old stoves. Not everyone has a new building with new stoves.
Some that I know put their old ones out of use

Wood is NOT a CO2 neutral fuel. It never was, it will never be, it cannot be. If I remove a running CO2 trap from the environment to burn it, there is initially nothing neutral about that. I can replant until the cows come home.

Wood is a fossil fuel of the same class as oil, gas, and coal, nothing else. A green marketing department did a great job there.

Sorry for the OT. It just annoys me a lot that I always hear stuff like this.

Tomorrow afternoon the base slab will be poured. On Thursday and Friday the precast concrete parts for the basement walls will arrive, on Saturday they will be concreted.

Oh yeah, the project is going to be really cool too. Base slab ... I can hardly wait.

Chimney and wood stove are the most unnecessary things we have in the house. We should have rather spent the money on a vacation or something...
