We wanted to see and feel handles.

We based it on our height and tested what was "better" for us to grab. You see the result, which doesn’t bother us.

Thank you very much.

Not much has happened with us lately; at least nothing visually impressive.

We continued backfilling and got a rainwater cistern:

Finished, it looks like this (backfilled as well):

Then the curb boards and point foundations for the carport were set (a small shed is also planned at the back):

Also, a "work balcony" was attached to our floor slab. Our final balcony to the south will look just like this, only nicer.
They need the balcony to be able to assemble the parts on site. Some walls are simply too large to transport as they are, so they are delivered in parts and assembled on site. And that is supposed to happen on this area enlarged by the balcony. This extension is about 2m deep; together with the floor slab, they now have about 14m to work with. Hopefully, that's enough!

Additionally, we talked with the electrician and the person responsible for plumbing.
Electrical work will already start in the basement on Monday, as will the wiring.
The parts are also supposed to be delivered starting Monday and, as mentioned, assembled on site.
The plan is to finish the shell construction in 3 weeks; with the roof on, then we can take a breather, and the weather won’t be able to interfere anymore.

At least, the weather looks good for next week! It can stay that way as far as I’m concerned.

The base slab arrived on Tuesday, and by Saturday evening the ring beams were poured. It's really crazy how sensitive Ytong is. Just give it a dirty look and something breaks off. Usually everyone repairs this with standard masonry mortar here, but I will try using insulating mortar.

What are the many KG pipes in the floor slab for? Are those 6x drains? Or are some of them openings for future installations such as water supply, telecommunications, etc.?

At the back is the utility room with multi-service connection, heating, and sink + washing machine, at the front left the kitchen with sink, and at the front right the bathroom.

The utility companies throw that at you. They no longer install connections in KG pipes because it's too prone to damage. Just buy the expensive multi-utility house entry crap.
