As so often, it's a matter of opinion. I also think nothing beats a wooden floor, but if you have small children, a) you only enjoy it for a short time and b) every scratch and dent causes a small nervous breakdown.

We had three different wooden floors for 20 years and have now switched to tiles. With a dog, the parquet floor got scratched very quickly, and it wasn’t that easy to clean since it was oiled, and the often-mentioned "patina" didn’t look so great either. I like it much better with tiles now; they’re easy to clean and the dog's claws don’t cause any damage.

I can warmly recommend the spray from Woca and all their other products! I use them too (wood soap and also the oils).
