if you want to have an LED strip there, I would have the wall redone. Otherwise, I would be annoyed all the time! Now it's still quite easy!

I agree. If [Streiflicht] is to be projected onto the wall, have it plastered and sanded over a large area.

Yeah, we have sealed the stairwell opening from the beginning with a vapor barrier. Although it is only about 95% tight, since you can't get flush to one corner, I hope that is enough. In the first two weeks, there was extreme droplet formation; it was "raining" every few minutes. If all that moisture had risen upwards ... the Kärcher for wiping windows ran at full speed for two weeks ...

It has eased off – the ceiling will still be installed, so it will fit then and you won’t see the rear edge anymore (because it will be lower then).
The illuminated sloping roof is not plastered but consists of whitewashed three-layer spruce boards. We were also unsure at first whether it would look good and tried it somewhere else first. That was a good call! While you see every unevenness on a wall and find it disturbing, with brushed wood it’s different – everything is uneven in some sort of regular way and that has an effect.

Outside, we will also have up-and-down lights on the front house wall – despite the irregular rhombus cladding that we have. Of course, we tested that beforehand as well. It is, logically, different than on a smooth wall, but we like it.

That is also okay. The wall is deliberately uneven. But with plaster walls or facades, it is different. You only notice how ugly they can be in raking light.

We have indirect light behind a whitewashed three-layer spruce board - I wouldn't want to miss it anymore! It surely looks great at your place!
