Then as a silent reader, I’ll also show our little house here. It's slowly taking shape.
The films on the window frames still need to be removed and of course, there is still a lot of greenery missing.

The hipped roof shape doesn’t always fit (at least to my taste), but the house was well designed and looks harmonious.

thanks. As for the roof shape, we really struggled. At first, I didn’t want two full stories because those “city villas” just have too much space. What exactly do you mean by a hipped roof not always fitting? Alternatively a gable roof with two full stories? The bay window on the ground floor was initially planned with a flat roof. We then decided on this intermediate roof, which in my opinion nicely breaks up the large facade and makes the house not look so blocky. The architect initially found the idea terrible and old-fashioned.

Initially, I also wanted a hipped roof, but the more I looked at two-story houses with a hipped roof, the easier my decision became; I had gotten tired of it ..... I then decided on the gable roof .... = right decision = timeless, cheaper, and simpler attic conversion. Addendum: all subjective!thanks. As for the roof shape, we really struggled. Congratulations - not a run-of-the-mill style, even though I prefer a different style.
2 questions:
- is something wrong with the joints?
- when it rains, how loud is it under the roof windows? (otherwise I imagine it’s cool from the inside)
