The staircase is finished from the raw framework. Final assembly will follow at the end of February. Shortly before moving in.

Of course something goes on there. A few slats during the construction phase. Glass for the final assembly.

Very cool, I really like it! If I didn’t have a staircase underneath, it would have been something like that too. But since our basement also has an entrance and we didn’t want it to be open, unfortunately that wasn’t possible... But I’m very curious about the final result here!
Over the weekend we were at the 80th birthday of an uncle of my husband in the Vogtland and rented a really nice log cabin for the three days – with a stove.
And my dear hubby, who had railed so much against the "unnecessary!" stove that I had wished for, took every possible opportunity to light the stove in the living room of the cabin because (exact quote dear hubby!) "it’s so cozy."
Ha! HHHAAAAAAA! He’s noticing it now! *grrr*
If I had known that, I would have taken him there during the planning phase – now the stove topic is settled for us *cry*
