We were given a lot of samples and colors to choose from. I have to check the exact color to see if we can find it out again, because we made the decision on-site together with the plasterer and the architect based on the samples. Unfortunately, he already took the sample back, and we have also returned the color palette. As for the grain size, the sample had a 1.5mm grain size, but the plasterer said a 1mm grain size would look nicer. Since we have had very good advice from him so far, we trusted him and chose the 1mm grain size. The color looks good! Which one exactly is it now? Please also give some details about the plaster. Which one from your selection was chosen? The coarser or the finer one? Thanks! mini
Our architect showed us an object in the city right at the beginning that was executed with such a broom stroke plaster. At first, we didn’t like it at all. Then we kept looking at the classic “smooth plaster” while driving through the city and thought “boring.” So the idea was decisively planted. The smooth one was boring for us, also because of a corresponding sample. The broom stroke would be a risk. We knew it wouldn’t look perfect. I find that hard to imagine just because of the application alone. Now it is so that the “grooves” are not perfectly parallel to each other. We were really unsure whether we had made the right decision. Now, since the scaffolding is gone and the result can only really be seen now, we are totally happy. The color complements the roof, the windows, and the venetian blinds/roller shutters perfectly, and the imperfection makes it all the more interesting for us. If it’s not your thing, then we all did the right thing. Not because we didn’t want others to like it, but simply because we wanted something different. We had to be clear that it wouldn’t be everyone’s thing. We are very happy with the choice.Ok, did you have to set up scaffolding again specifically for the top plaster? No, seriously, I’m not familiar with this type of plaster. It wouldn’t be my choice. Maybe as a highlight for a partial area. What I would be interested in is the execution. When you enlarge the pictures, you can sometimes still see the trowel marks, then it sometimes looks almost smooth, sometimes with more indentations. Sometimes there are “blemishes.” Is that normal or is it due to the execution?
