We had planned the bathtub because it was also a piece of resale value for us. Until the birth of our child, it was only used sporadically, but since then 2 to 3 times a week. I have now come to like it and am rather sad that we didn’t plan for a bigger [BW]. However, we would have lacked the space for that anyway. Without it, I definitely wouldn't build.

Which in my opinion it always is... At least in rural building areas. Bathtub: we have an extra large one, Bette Free 2x1m - and I love it. I can even float in it. And for the first time in my life I’m sitting in a tub where both my knees and breasts are underwater - at the same time. Wonderful! Without my bathtub pillow it would be awkward though. But I have a thing that attaches magnetically to the tub and I put my head on it and the rest of my body in the water. Pure wellness! By the way: after yesterday’s discussion about kitchens and cluttered countertops, I made another attempt to enforce my beloved magnetic strip for the knives. And lo and behold: yesterday I was finally successful!!! Now the two knife blocks are finally gone and there is proper space to the left of the stove again! And hubby is convinced now too (took only 1.5 years - so practically nothing!)

Quite interesting. We specifically banished it from the bathroom. It was an easy decision. But maybe it’s different when you’re building new. Because then you plan accordingly. For us, a large shower and a double sink were more important.

But if you don't like that exact sticking and wiggle back and forth a bit, it does make a difference whether you additionally slide all the way forward and have to push yourself back again or not. ;-)

Yes, in my opinion, this helpful function of the forum is also underestimated. I also often say, "Yes, but you know, in the forum they say that ...". ;-)
