The civil engineer is always happy about a tip.

About 1300 screws later, the wooden terrace is finished. I really like the "invisible" screwing; of course, the Sunday visitors didn't notice. Tomorrow I will mount the edge strips all around.

According to the supplier, the wood should now "weather" a bit and darken, then it will be oiled.

Really very beautiful table. I especially like that it has a central pedestal and not 4 legs. It is so much better when you have one or two more guests and need to seat them at the head end.

For sitting without hitting your shins on table legs, there is nothing(!) better than an ultra-boring table with the classic 4 legs. With the right distance, all chairs, whether at the head or not, are always between them and nothing is ever in the way.

In the photo’s table, the middle seat on a long side has the table leg directly in front of it.

But it is beautiful, that’s true.
