That worked precisely because you put a lot of effort into making your decisions understandable and also wrote about it in detail. That means it was clear that you had thought about the usual pros and cons and then made YOUR decision.

Not everyone liked it – that was clear, some considerations may have helped others a bit – and even if it’s just the encouragement to do something of your own. Thanks, yes, there are different options planned to make two units out of it...

I rummaged through my archive a bit and found a first version of the floor plan so you have an idea of what the inside of the house looks like. However, we have made some changes; the bathroom situation has been rearranged, but the locations have remained the same (I have since learned that bathrooms without windows are apparently uncommon; we mostly placed ours into the slope so that the view from the other rooms can be enjoyed). We have now swapped the kitchen and dining area, and the storage room on the children’s floor no longer exists either; it has now become a workspace for everyone.
