Slide&Hide here, would never want to trade again, plenty of space and - our main argument - I no longer have to be careful with my forearms touching the hot door when open...!

It must be because of the structural engineering. Solid wood is more stable than wooden studs. Our basement has solid wood on three sides. With wooden studs, the basement would have had to be built with masonry or we would have had to move one meter away from the retaining wall.

For us, all walls and the intermediate ceiling are made of solid wood.

Miele is out even for my parents and parents-in-law. The appliances don’t last forever anymore and for less than 10 years they are too expensive.

My Neff oven heats up quickly and evenly. No need to rotate cakes and pizzas.
The Slide & Hide door was the reason for buying it and it’s really great. I also find the operation good.

In my opinion, brands within the same price range don’t differ much. I think the function has to suit the person. Slide & Hide only makes sense with elevated ovens. Others cannot do convection at 170 degrees for 40 minutes, you first have to set it Meat, Pork, 1.2 Kg

That is exactly how the Miele was explained to us and that would be a no-go for me. I also want to enter how many degrees and at most how long. But usually I prefer to look at how much longer it still needs.

Got it! I’ll have to think about the saddled staircase again. Seems like it has drawbacks too.

Wow, that much! We're already paying a surcharge for the beech staircase with risers (around 2K, the standard is a simple steel stringer staircase), let’s see what such a color change costs (I really like the white) and whether it’s even possible...

We decided against Slide&Hide and took the regular Neff oven. How long is the oven door open so that one can bump into it? Normally, you should close the door as quickly as possible to avoid losing too much heat. With us, the thing is open for max. 1 minute to check or take out baking items and then closed again. Bumping into it is hardly possible – unless you are very forgetful At least, that was our point of view and not worth about 200 € extra to us.

It may have been the Miele. At the kitchen studio, he just rushed us through the display kitchens and had us try and look at dishwasher, cooktop, steam cooker, oven, refrigerator. The motto was "You have to work with it." He only pointed out special features, Slide&Hide, Neff Twistpad, menu navigation, adjustability of the dish racks, etc.
