Weeks without rain, but as soon as we start working in the garden, it pours.... and now we have mud everywhere in front of the hut. Our karma is probably not too good.
Doesn't matter, the first wall is almost finished. Until last Wednesday, it still looked like this around our house:

In nice weather, everything dry and relatively clean (except for pollen).
Now that has changed a bit:

Everything wet and muddy... At least the wall to the neighbor is almost done. There will be a small compost and my bread oven there (towards the shed) and our terrace in front of that. The bread oven will also hide the annoying exhaust pipe of the controlled residential ventilation from view. We’ll still have to come up with something to treat it a bit, either something will grow over it or it will be enclosed, we’ll see. After it was leveled there once, we finally got an idea of how much space there is. I think it will be enough for us.
The finished height is where it is marked with the arrow:
The height goes all around the house up to the balcony, where it then transitions.
Our cats, in any case, are grumpy – changes are stuuupid and the old wall to the neighbor was wider, so you could lie so nicely in the sun (unfortunately, it threatened to collapse, but that’s not relevant in the cat world), everything is different, dirty and just... We currently have three little grumblers at home. The fact that the darlings also refuse to understand that they should clean their paws before coming in grumbling is not their problem, but mine. Otherwise, they are currently hiding in the scratching post to catch as little as possible of this crazy world:
