Hello KingSong,

when I convert the prices we both pay into prices per square meter, we are quite close together. A large garage was only possible for us in terms of installation with crane use and increased transport costs. That would have driven the prices up quite a bit.

Best regards

Axel

That's exactly what surprises me, that we are so close to each other with two such different garages. I would have expected that we are significantly more expensive (or you cheaper) with the sectional door, the window, the timber frame construction with insulation, and the continuous base slab. Our garage doesn't need a crane at all because it is assembled on site.

Hello KingSong,

ah, timber frame construction. That explains everything. They are of course much cheaper. But that didn't work for us either, because we have earth backfill of about 80 cm from two sides. That then requires concrete garages. Our price is certainly also driven up by the fact that we chose the side entrance door in the same design as the sectional door. And two sectional doors with two drives are after all more expensive than one large door with one drive. And then if the parapet is added on top ...

Best regards

Axel

That's really strange, no matter where I look the precast concrete garages are cheaper than the timber frame ones.... We also have an attic, it is included in the price, the side entrance door has the same design as the gates and the garage height is 2.70m..... so I still have an offer lying around here where a large concrete garage with the same features as our current timber frame garage would have been easily €8000 cheaper.

And I had also once requested an offer for a large concrete garage and ended up about 6000 euros above what I paid for my two single garages connected to each other. By the way, the missing side wall also makes the garages more expensive, as the static requirements for the other parts are higher.

I just think it's way too expensive for what it is, just two connected single garages....no windows, low height....but whatever, I don't want to know where else we have paid more than necessary....haha
