Even if the development plan had allowed it, we definitely would not have chosen clinker bricks. Here, if anything, people consider wood for the (partial) façade design.

I love wood look .....but the maintenance, no thanks

My house must have brick cladding. Otherwise, it’s not a house. Silly I know, there are many many beautiful houses without brick cladding. But just not mine.

One more reason why we didn’t build in Bavaria - even if allowed, try finding someone there who can do it properly and do it well.

We're making good progress here too. The basement is poured, the first walls are built, and the basement ceiling is already in place and waiting (came a week too early). Totally exciting... I can't contain my joy when I'm inside the house.

Then take larch wood. No maintenance, the wood develops a wonderful grey patina.

At least the base for the partition wall to the bathroom is already in place

It’s a matter of taste, but for me a must-have (if the development plan allows it)

And a development plan with taste knows that Bavaria is not in Westphalia
