What makes eKey so special? Currently, I am rather against a fingerprint sensor. You know that every IT system has attack points. The question then is whether your installed system regularly performs firmware updates or something like that. In addition, fingerprint sensors often have problems in cold weather, with dirty fingers, etc. (which I could see in other houses where people often had to swipe 2-4 times...)

Regarding the backup kitchen: it is not uncommon for people who see their kitchen as a show kitchen and do not want appliances lying around so that a catalog photo could always be taken? You live in the house and especially in the kitchen, so daily use appliances are allowed to be lying around there

Really very stylish and an eye-catcher in every anthracite/white new housing estate.

The wooden slats on the garage are meant especially for climbing plants, right? What are you letting grow up there?

And just because you live inside, are you allowed to clutter up the kitchen? If you live inside, you have even more reason to keep it clean and tidy.

If I had the space, I would definitely have come up with the idea of a backup kitchen too.

Do you really still use a bathtub? I was convinced those times were over and was already wondering why one is installed in every new building. I once rented for 8 years. There was also a tub in the bathroom there. I only used it to clean my mountain bike :)

I never even thought about getting in myself.

Of course you use them. We put our clothes over the edge of the bathtub :)

because ekey works very well and is the market leader. I have known the system for 12 years. Depending on the scanner, also with secure RFID (desfire ev1 or 2). So far not cracked. There are also updates. More secure than a key. The system runs independently. From the outside, our normal network is only accessible via VPN. I agree with you that an absolute layman should not do this themselves. However, they then mostly install the standalone variant. Relays, controllers, etc. are certainly housed in the house. The nice thing is that the door is always locked due to motor locks.
