Right, it's an electric grill. As long as you use the grill plate (which we don't do anyway), it can produce a lot of smell and grease fumes that can settle.

What are the controversial opinions? Of course there are emissions, definitely more than with potato salad and sausages. You can find them more or less bad, but they undoubtedly occur. Whether, how much, and what you grill on top significantly influences the emissions.

I do not want to overstrain the topic here either.

The opinions are as controversial as they can be. Some people don't care, others see it very strictly and are against it. Probably it is like with (cigarette) smoking. If smoking occasionally in the apartment, it would not matter (raclette). If you smoke daily and intensively (stove in the kitchen), the traces will be visible and smelled after a short time.

Short OT:

Is there a trick to make this thread show up for me when I click on "Planung/Ideenfindung/allg. Fragen"? When I click on this, this thread hasn't appeared for me for months

I can only click on this thread if it appears on the forum's homepage (when the last post in the subforum "Planung/Ideenfindung/allg. Fragen" is from this thread).

Thanks in advance - especially for thinking about it, as I think I really explained my problem in a complicated way :D

Raclette is great and doesn’t leave an oily film, after all it’s cheese :) however, an old tablecloth is important, because the many grease splatters have ruined my table before. And never forget the pizza dough, otherwise it’s only half as much fun :D

One person is bothered by the cooking aroma, another is not. One smells a stench, another perceives a fragrance. The next cleans every week anyway, the other waits for a grease film. Well then: enjoy your raclette - and if someone calls that e-grilling, it doesn't matter.
We humans are simply different!
