Flaviker Rebel Emerald.
Either it looks completely shitty, or totally cool.

This will be expensive
But it looks very very good. The only disadvantage is, and that's why we decided against it, that glass always reflects and is very very maintenance-intensive.

Yes and no. So for floor-to-ceiling glazing, about 1000EUR/m, but it replaces two railings. Namely the one for the basement staircase and the staircase railing from the ground floor to the upper floor. Yes, you have to be aware of the cleaning involved.

Only for the upper part, the parapet railing (in all glass), it is approximately the same price per meter, but you need more meters there. That's why it's in flat steel without glass.
That halves the price.

Did you mean this wall?

We would have liked glass as well, but I don't really enjoy cleaning, so we decided on wood:

Nice style. Did you choose the kitchens together?
With you can clearly see that the counter space is already not enough

Like at MadameP for example, would be my answer. A thin countertop instead of the bulky thick one.

Do you have an open or closed kitchen? Experience shows that the grease from cooking settles on surfaces, which is not so bad in the kitchen but can be annoying in the living area if you have books or the like stored there.

Yes, I also find that very unfortunate.
The nice thing about an island is that you cook for the guest, stir, communicate. The guest stands opposite and gets a look into the pot.
That is completely missing at Madame’s. The cook turns away from the guest, sideways is not possible at all, the communicative island has now turned into a washing-up island. I know why it should be so popular but don’t share the opinion.
Still, I find the cooking area too dark and too cramped. It feels like a wall cabinet threatens the busy cooking over the stove.
You have to go around the island corner to the stove to chop, also not ideal.
I am curious how you will manage that,

Please report again with photos in the kitchen thread

Exactly THAT, also the phew, I thought so too.
But I think the guest WC is meant to be a bit wild and can be something more exotic. But tiles are very permanent.

But they will quickly look shabby because of the lime scale.

Great! 3> Am I wrong or do you have a thing for the 50s?

The dust in the braces will also not be exactly easy to clean :P
