Under the shell is a slab building from the late 1970s. Could be WBS70, as a single-family house in the district of Cottbus.

The renovated prefabricated buildings WBS70 and Co now have super quality, they are given at least 100 more years of service life.
That means the core of your single-family house has potential

I found this discussion with about the gable cladding because I am currently wondering how the slate installation is done correctly. For us, the staircase bay window facing the street and the basement window are to be clad with textured plaster. Today we saw that the gable facing the garden was also plastered. Slate was agreed upon because we didn’t want to pay for brickwork. I definitely don’t want plaster there – firstly, definitely not white, and secondly, I basically never want to have to paint it again.

It looks like this now and is already "finished." Simply nailing slate on won’t work with the Styrofoam underneath. How is the slate normally fastened? Does the plaster and insulation have to be removed again so that battens can be installed?

I will never understand why someone designs an 11.5 cm wall for you …. It happened to us, too, what’s the point? Because of 3.40 euros and 2 cm
more living space….

 where? I don't remember and nothing comes up in the search under gable slate cladding etc...

but I can attach the pictures here.

From the inside you can see that the window front is built of masonry and the sides are made of wood, the insulation (glass wool) comes in from the inside.

front brick, on the side a protective sheet over the wood

and here unfortunately I don't have any more photos – however, based on this picture I assume that the moisture-repellent (?) sheet is then directly covered with the slate.

So I would say about your photo: if the white on the outside is insulation now (Styrofoam?), then of course something still has to go over it that you can nail into.

Great thanks! Then I'm curious about the response from the GU. According to Förch it should somehow be processed like this:

I admit that "discussion" is a bit exaggerated. I meant .
