Would a small step be so bad?

Trip hazard, a 1 cm edge is worse than an 18 cm step.

After you’ve tripped over it once, you quickly get used to something like that.....

So for me it will probably be the same with adhesive vinyl and tile. I have something like that in the apartment now, but I have never tripped. Surely it is nicer without.

At my acquaintance's place, they apply the plaster tapering off flatly to avoid having this edge. I'll be sending some photos soon. We are now in the house. Maybe a before and after story as well.

Now deviating a bit from the thread topic, but briefly: You don’t find the small edge between adhesive (full) vinyl and tile that dramatic? We are facing the same problem.
