In my opinion, it shouldn’t be pinned on a specific type of car, but rather on the fact that we ALL need to behave more resource-conserving in all areas of life. This applies just as much to clothing craze, meat consumption, but also to always southernmost tropical fruits, heating behavior, pointless electricity consumption, delivery services, and trillions of other things. If I haven’t misread, food delivery services are going public!!!!! Lieferando, Hellofresh, etc. are now market giants (I didn’t even know that until recently), if I’m not mistaken. These resource-burning users and constant orderers are among us here, and when I ride my bike or nibble on a blade of grass, but at the same time push these companies to go public with my behavior, then the balance just isn’t quite right, and I’m sitting in a glass house as well. We have a nice but, compared to that, just an IKEA kitchen, and yet we ordered from Lieferando for the first time, and that was at the hotel when a downpour was going on outside. Today, “one” has professional kitchens and the turnover of food services has exploded... Huh??? I’m not a car fetishist, but the problem certainly doesn’t lie there alone. I would gladly have a 130 km/h limit and, for all I care, higher fuel costs if that is applied sensibly. Then you finally think again whether this or that trip is really necessary and whether you can live comfortably with one degree less room temperature, 2 minutes less showering, no more! car washing, etc. There are so many adjustment screws; everyone has enough of them themselves....... With me, Lieferando, Zalando, etc. would all be bankrupt. Furthermore, I keep wondering that terms used here like “standard of living” or “comfort” are almost exclusively measured against money or other calculable values. But there is also comfort in peace, time, beauty, friendliness with neighbors, simplicity......... all of that costs nothing, so no money, and often lies unused. Not that I’ve swallowed this wisdom whole, but thinking more in this direction makes some things easier for me when I can’t (or no longer) afford it financially.

As long as they also pay for what they cause. For this attitude, petrol and diesel are still far too cheap. And what does that mean? "Everyone upgrade!" and buy bigger and heavier vehicles? Consequence: At some point, people no longer feel safe unless their vehicle is armored. Trasco is happy. Here you can see again how the understandable behavior of individuals leads to absurdity in the aggregate.
