think about what you want to do on this peninsula. Do you also have a cooktop or the sink there? If you cook there, you will always put down cutlery, a cutting board, or something else next to the cooktop. If there is an outlet there, the bowl will wobble when you place it on it or liquid will get into it. And when cooking, you always put things down on the right and left, so an outlet would be in the way. If you have a sink there, I wouldn't even consider an outlet.
I only have a cooktop on the peninsula. The distance from the wall with the outlets to the edge of the cooktop is about 75-80cm. If I put the outlets on the front surface, it's about 60cm.
I think I'll just leave it. I actually don't want it on the surface because of wobbling, water fights, or the potential for my own stupidity.
