So with 10 chairs at the table, everyone sits without bumping into each other etc. We thought for a long time about which frame to choose and tried many out, in the end we liked the Spider frame best and it is good in terms of flexibility, even with 12 chairs there should be no problems.
For sitting without bumping your shins on table legs, there is nothing(!) better than an ultra-boring table classically with 4 legs. With the right distance, all chairs, whether at the head or not, are always between them and nothing is ever in the way.
In the table from the photo, the middle seat on one long side has the table leg directly in front of it.
But it is nice, that’s true.
I may have expressed myself unclearly there. It’s only about the head end. You can’t put 2 chairs there if there are table legs (unless the table is 1.4 m wide!). We have often needed this when there were small children who jumped up right after eating. This way, we could very often avoid adding a second table and all the adults still had their seats. Clear?
