Wait ... there is nothing presumptuous about that and as you yourself conclude at the end, I don’t judge anyone for their decision. I’m merely sharing my subjective opinion on it. I didn’t want to trigger a discussion in that direction, quite the opposite. We ourselves have consciously outsourced some things and will continue to do so. Thus, some jobs are done by professionals while I do the job I’m paid for and have more time for and with my family. This was a compliment to those who have the time, desire, experience, and everything else to carry out their own (partial) projects. No reason to turn a positive statement into a negative one. Carry onI find that a bit presumptuous, to be honest... What makes someone prefer to have a job done by a professional rather than doing it themselves doesn’t matter at all. And if client X has everything done right from the start to have peace of mind and is willing to spend X-thousand € on various jobs, that is their good right. Client Y, on the other hand, is thrilled when they do a little bit with their own hands every day. But I don’t stand there and condemn someone who wants/needs/whatever to take a different path. And if the reason is "merely" that he/she didn’t want to do it themselves, so what? I’ve done quite a bit myself, but I focused on what I can do. And I’m really glad I invested money in a company for the outdoor facilities and don’t have to live on a construction site for the next few years. I experienced this with a friend who worked on the outdoor areas for the last 4 years, and he’s had enough... You yourself write that everyone decides for themselves anyway, so it should be completely irrelevant to you if others supposedly make it easy for themselves...
