Now more photos will follow and I hope that other builders will also share their pictures here, so that my posts are not all alone among each other. ;-) With the number of active and passive forum members, something must happen in the building world of other forum participants as well. :) Be brave.

I still like our house (except for the solar panels, which look to me like festering wounds, and on top of that they are all different sizes :-( ), but next time I would do the following things differently:

- increase the roof pitch (the standard is/was 22°, we paid an extra approx. 2,000 euros for a roof pitch of 30°); it might play a role here that we had to forgo the 2x20cm floor height increase, so the house is almost half a meter shorter and therefore the proportions are changed; that would have had the advantage, besides the look, that the attic could be better utilized
- possibly I would also choose a larger roof overhang, but I have to see that in person first, the photos were taken by my husband
- I would also have installed many more windows, but I didn’t "get it through" ,-)

Overall, I think it is a house that could have been built 30 years ago and maybe again in 30 years without it being unpleasantly noticeable. At least I hope so.

The house reminds me of the type coffee grinder or small Art Deco villa. I find it very pretty and balanced. Timeless. The windows are also well done. I know you had something else planned, but it does not look like a cheap compromise at all.

Large windows always look good. If the solar technology bothers you because of the "color," I might have also chosen dark roof tiles. We did that. This way, our photovoltaic modules do not stand out as much. Of course, it looks a bit different in real life than in pictures.

Over the past 1.5 years, we have been able to gather quite a bit of help in the forum. The discussions about the floor plan and fireplace were also very valuable to us. Since the end of February, we have been living in it. As always, many issues are still open, but against the backdrop of the general situation around the construction, we have come through some very tough escalations fairly well overall. As a thank you, here are some selected pictures :)

some construction sites still need a bit of rework

For privacy reasons, there are only interior photos from before moving in. You have surely noticed our preference for a certain type of wood ;)

very nice (very dominant kitchen)! I just took a look at your planning thread, interesting to see what ended up. But you weren't able to stick to your initial budget, right?
