After a week of weather-related standstill, we finally resumed backfilling yesterday. What I discovered last night is shown in the photo. The basement insulation has shifted along the wall for several meters during backfilling and is pushing the insulation "around the corner" away from the wall.

But how can that be, the insulation should be glued down, how the hell can it slip?
Our inspector insisted that the insulation be glued over the entire surface.
Well, no idea how that can be. The shell builder and the civil engineer pointed fingers at each other. On the other hand, the insulation is supposed to be additionally reinforced with a foil so that the same thing doesn't happen again.
