The lawn is the 2nd cheapest from our hardware store. We had unfiltered topsoil distributed and loosened it with a motorized tiller and leveled out the stones.

Otherwise, we had a lot of rain and fairly warm temperatures. That of course accelerated the growth.

In what way garden? With flowers and such? No, that's not for us... We probably won't create any flower beds.

On one side, we planted 10 hibiscus bushes. Not much is growing yet and they are not blooming at all. On the other side, there is nothing yet, as we are still weighing various options and will only finish next year, once the road construction is complete.

Otherwise, we are waiting for the delivery of 2 raised beds for vegetables and herbs.

After we are finally "worn out" (well.... except for a few small things), our house (now finally with a carport) also wants to be shown once again.

The only thing missing in the carport is actually the interior paint, otherwise we are finished for now.
My dad (retired) built the carport completely by himself; unfortunately, we could only help during holidays and on weekends. It took about 3 months in total.
If anyone is interested, I have documented the carport construction in detail on my blog.

And now I'm just glad that we are finally done. The garden urgently needs weeding again. Unfortunately, this has been completely neglected in recent weeks and there was unfortunately so much weed in the delivered topsoil.

Let's see if the big boredom is coming now, what’s up next...

Respect! That really looks like a lot of work!

The garden also looks very cozy.

Yes, that was really a lot of work. The carport was completely self-designed and built from individual parts, kein ready-made kit from the hardware store. I am just glad that we are finally finished and can hopefully enjoy the next summer again...
