What kind of craftsmen did you get?? First the electrical work, now the horribly installed underfloor heating. I hope the other work is done properly?

What we ourselves had almost stopped believing: our table is here and I actually managed to get the chairs relatively quickly (for everyone who isn’t afraid to order design classics over the internet, I would warmly recommend the website of CASA Finest Living from Berlin – this site will be my downfall, just seriously cool pieces! And on top of that, an incredibly friendly service by phone combined with insanely fast shipping – a solid 5 stars from me!):

We are very enthusiastic – however, it might be that we still need a new tabletop. This one is made of old oak and unfortunately has a few flaws (voids in the wood), and we don’t yet know how they will develop. We’ll see. My heart would bleed if we had to give it back again. It’s basically just two oak boards – and you can’t always get them in that size, usually several are glued together for a table like this.

But finally, the lamps match the table – before, they just looked way too oversized...

The kitchen is finally completely finished now too! Only the alignment and gap sizes will be adjusted again in a few months (once everything has settled). But I’ll write a separate report about that here in the kitchen subforum.

would you like to tell me how long your table is and how much space is between the „legs“?

3m long, the legs are about 20 cm away from the edge. The 4 armchairs fit nicely in between (we fiddled around until it fit) and on the ends, 1 person can sit comfortably and somewhat snugly, but still possible, even 2 can sit.

Oh yes, very beautiful table. We also really like wood combined with metal. Unfortunately, my boyfriend is only good with wood and not so much with metal. I have already told him that he should take some further training in that area so that he can build something in that style himself.

However, you can simply have the legs made by the nice locksmith according to the specifications - the result is likely to be better than if someone quickly acquires some welding skills. And then nothing stands in the way of the self-built table.
