With some pieces of equipment, however, it is the case that one is dependent on custom manufacturing, or one likes something so much that one has to buy it due to a lack of alternatives

I have been thinking about getting a moss wall for some time now.
Cost: 400-600 euros/sqm depending on the type of moss

50 euros = 7.7 x 14 cm = 4638.22 euros / sqm (wallpapered edge to edge) :-0

We also have a "schrankwand" from the carpenter because there was nothing like that on the market or only really expensive ones. I wanted a depth of ~17cm and then doors. But that doesn't exist. I mean, why would I need more depth for a CD... so the carpenter solved it very well.

And the thing will/has already almost outlived the CD.

Uuh, interesting topic... We also outsourced a lot of the interior work directly to the carpenter; if only because I want to have the same wood used everywhere, stair railings, doors, kitchen island, exposed wood walls, also wardrobe, dressing room, and mudroom. For the kids' rooms, however, I had really thought about Ikea, only problem is that you can't shop there right now. They will probably have to sleep on the floor for a while.

Thanks... I like them too; we went for it, they also come as outdoor slabs. It's an XXL travertine imitation, I still have to look for more precise details... They are simply not fussy, and because of the kids and dog, we reluctantly decided against parquet. Instead, I now have it on the walls and everywhere else it was possible.
