But if that is not the case, it obviously doesn't matter. Think the scenario through to the end. The insurance could always find something that was not right. It must also be causally related.guckguck is right - if you ever have a fire and the expert determines that this protection was not in place, then they won't pay you a penny, even if the fire had a completely different cause. So at least remember to put the glass plate in front of the stove before the expert comes.
