That will not be enough. It's not a big deal, but more than just a case of beer. With this offset, building up will be necessary if the window format is to be maintained.
My electrician says that if you don't want your thermostat to be integrated into the combination unit of the light switch, the thermostat must be connected above the light switch but ..... slightly offset ....... I want an inexpensive option for the granny flat
Why should it be cheaper if the light switch and thermostat are not in one unit?
Our thermostats are also positioned above but not offset
I think "somewhat offset" refers to the gap that arises between the two frames of a) light switch and b) thermostat.
Why isn’t this done within one frame? Up to 4 units are possible. 3 are needed: light switch, socket, and then the thermostat.
I see no point in the separation.
