Yes, if you are painting yourself, you might as well use something decent. At least, for example, [Caparol Silikatdisperson]. We have, for example, Brillux sensocryl.
PS: We will be painting ourselves soon and I can get 20% off everything through a friend at a Hagebau promotion. What would you recommend? As a tip, I was given Alpina with a cat, Herbol Profi DIN white, or Schöner Wohnen Polarweiß. Which have you worked with to your satisfaction?
We had hoped to get by with just one coat using a good paint. We then tried two expensive ones that didn’t convince us (one coat was really borderline), and in the end we painted twice with the good Alpina; the result was great. We also once made a test wall with all three paints and liked the Alpina best in terms of color and texture. It was also easy to apply. And it’s dirt cheap when on offer.
I wouldn’t smear synthetic resin dispersion on the walls of my €500,000 house. One should go to the specialist trade and get proper advice. With alpina, you quickly paint the rented apartment nicely before moving out.
I can only agree with Lumpi_LE. Definitely do not use synthetic resin paint. In the bathroom, it’s debatable, but even there I wouldn’t do it. Go to the specialist dealer and don’t save at the end on that little bit of paint, you definitely had better options. The best paint, in my opinion, is from Keim.
