Wow! They rock!

20cm, I wonder if that's enough? Usually, nothing grows there because it freezes through or no soil from below retains the moisture.

The landscape gardener said that should be enough. We don't really have any other choice anyway. The main goal should be to make the ugly cover of the cistern disappear. If no grass grows permanently, we'll dig it up again. Instead, we'll just put gravel with a fire pit or something in there.

Hmm, don't you have to access the cistern occasionally for cleaning, maintenance, etc.? I don't think grass or soil is a good solution for that.

So, in our place, they started to plaster the ceiling in the living room and kitchen.

Additionally, we now have the first functioning socket and the first switch with bulb [emoji173]

And once again a brief update from me.

At the beginning of the month, the exterior walls were completed:

The next day, the formwork was already removed, revealing the finished concrete exterior wall.

The concrete wall for the staircase is still missing. It was also quickly formed and poured...

So that work on the interior walls could continue, and the concrete staircase was immediately installed as well, so we can do without a construction staircase.

And this week, work continued with the basement ceiling.

On Tuesday, the filigree ceiling was delivered, and on Wednesday I installed the empty conduits into the ceiling together with an electrician. On Thursday and Friday, the basement ceiling was then poured in two stages.

Next week, work can continue with the dining room extension and the walls of the ground floor.
