The stair builder provides the temporary construction stairs free of charge as a service, and he casually said, gone is gone.
The plasterer wouldn’t have been able to get his scaffolding up, although the stairs were actually swivelable. At least that was his statement, and I accepted that.
The stairs were there when we needed them the most, now climbing the ladder is annoying but basically doable. How it will be, for example when wallpapering upstairs (EL), I don’t know yet. The final stairs will come quite late (starting eight weeks after screed).

Oh. For me, the construction site staircase is also the actual staircase. That means a two-stringer staircase steel/wood. The steel is prepped and painted in RAL9007. Then the proper wooden steps as an open variant will be installed. Still jealous?

You have worries with your stairs we had to carry up 200 sqm of insulation, 160 sqm of drywall, more than 1 km of wood and the windows up the ladder, THAT was annoying. I laugh about the material for wallpapering by ladder

Oh, I can match that. 150 sqm of drywall, about 30 packs of styrofoam, yes, windows as well (but I didn’t carry those myself), just like the insulation for the intermediate ceiling.

, for the usable stairs yes, otherwise please post pictures when finished

Then the rest without stairs is basically boring

Hey, I have the skylight over the toilet! It was initially a necessity - we needed headroom; with the sloping roof it got tight - but now we just find it brilliant. When I lie in the bathtub someday, I can also look at the starry sky

Today our connection was completed - we’ve had water since last week, now also electricity and phone! Yeah!
