I can help with that: in my experience, it is distributed among architects just as it is in other professional groups. Not all architects are Bauhaus followers or Waldorf school students. It is by no means genetic that architects drive Saabs and only listen to music from Braun hi-fi systems. Even in a prefab house, you can place your windows made to measure according to your taste, of course within the limits allowed by the structural engineer. However—concerning your wish to pester the architect with spontaneous special requests—keep in mind that with a prefab house manufacturer (as with the general contractor of solid construction) you have to understand the included planner more as "quote-unquote architects." So get used early on to not having to play there—outside, there are only little pots (of coffee).

Hello everyone,

we had the installation done last week Wednesday/Thursday and the roof was covered yesterday. Everything went smoothly and the weather was also good.

Maybe someone can say something about the roof tiles in the lower half towards the gable. To me, it looks like they are sagging or slightly "hanging". It could also be that it is very difficult to lay the Tegalit tiles exactly straight and that this is just how it is now.

Best regards

Oh, they are really not straight, I would address the site manager directly and stretch a guideline.

So the 6th and 7th pan in the bottom row (from the right) are bulging. The gap between the pans is significantly narrower at the bottom than at the top. Definitely about 1.5cm stitch?? However, you cannot see that in the picture with the counter battens. Why is it there?

Maybe lift these two tiles and have a look?

If it's crooked at the bottom, then of course also crooked at the top.

For me, that would not be acceptable (absolutely not). It needs to be reworked. I also can't imagine that the site manager saw this and approved it. The must expect resistance.

Today we finally installed the porch roof. And we also received two boxwood trees as a gift! It looks completely different now!

Looks great! Price and costs? How much is your roof overhang? About 80cm?
