If you use white tiles like in a butcher shop, then certainly.

Personally, I have already laid tiles in apartments that were only tiled halfway up. You immediately saw scratches, dirt, or similar on the untiled walls, and the whole thing seemed unfinished to me.

Just because a wall is not tiled, scratches or similar do not just appear there... otherwise, you would have to tile a living room or bedroom *laugh*

That probably wouldn’t be allowed anymore today... no idea, doesn’t matter.

On the other hand, with rooms tiled very high in white, people still have this association. No matter how "clean" the builder thinks it is – most people are startled at the sight. You can see it here too

With us, the tiles are only all the way up in the walk-in showers. And the rest is with paintable plaster. So far, nothing is dirty
