Rather not the brick cladding, but the jointing – the companies here have no interest in that and pass it on.

Regarding the time: observe the craftsmen when the boss is not around and when he is. Speed difference like in town and on the highway. It would be really stupid to work at the same pace without supervision as with supervision, then the boss would know how fast it could be done and you would always have to speed up. So far, it has also been 6 weeks with a small break for 180 sqm with two people. They should be done in two days then. Gables just take a long time, there is a lot to cut. Even the triangular window held up for almost a whole day.

And I don’t want to miss shutters, I grew up with them and now after 3.5 years without them it is extremely noticeable that they are missing. For me, they are a luxury equivalent to a controlled residential ventilation system.

Finally, finally one step further! Except for the large window areas, all windows are now installed and the scaffolding was taken down this morning:

First from the front; the large sliding windows will get their glass tomorrow, the frames are already installed (not visible here, behind the foil).

The back side has only smaller windows, so everything is already finished here:

Inside it is finally bright again, even though the large windows are still missing. Here are the kitchen windows:

And in the basement inside natural wood, like the walls:

Oh, we have waited a long time for this now!

Tomorrow the large windows will also get their glass in the frames. Then it will be really bright!

Will not be painted, remains natural and is allowed to weather. We wanted a low-maintenance façade. Just no painting! Neither plaster nor wood.

But then I would have had it pre-silvered... It becomes very uneven then. Friends of ours also said they let it weather, after 6 years they redid everything because it looked terrible. If you don't mind it, though, it doesn't matter.
