Everything went wonderfully, the parts were delivered perfectly and not the slightest detail had to be corrected (which is not always the case), the mood was great and everyone had fun because everything really went like clockwork.
So we even finished relatively quickly and around five o’clock the cellar was then carefully “packed up” just in case, so that it would stay dry through the announced rain over the weekend.

For this, the EPDM foil was laid on top:

In the end, the parts that should also not get wet were placed on top and a large tarpaulin was laid over everything. In the final result, the whole thing looked like a yurt, but I forgot to take pictures. You can’t see much either, just a large, square part with a raised area in the middle around which a white tarpaulin is tied down.

In the evening, we first celebrated our cellar extensively with family and neighbors.
It was nice.

It easily withstood the rain overnight, but now a storm is forecast and we have secured everything at the construction site, especially the insulation boards that had already been blown around. Now we hope that the storm won’t be too severe and everything will remain well packed.

So we are now proud cellar owners.

Lumpi, originally a completely conventional concrete cellar was planned. We just couldn’t get a cellar builder who would have firmly committed to us. Everyone was like: yeah yeah, we’ll build you a cellar if we have time. But if a big construction project comes up, then, sorry, that takes priority.
It was maddening! But the construction craftsmen here are all so booked up, they can pick the big projects and you with your little cellar with a maximum construction sum of €100,000 are not the business they need. It’s nice if they suddenly have a few weeks with not much to do, but otherwise they’d rather take the €3 million project.
That’s how we came to the wooden cellar. We didn’t even know such a thing existed. It’s not cheaper, more like about 5-10% more expensive.
But by now we are very happy that it turned out this way. We’re into timber construction and with a wooden cellar for the wooden house the whole thing fits together perfectly....uhh, more like it comes from one tree
And something like heating up screed and drying times of course doesn’t affect us at all!

You still need screed, don’t you, or do you have radiators? It definitely looks great.

No, no screed. Calcium silicate bricks are used, but no screed. And we have underfloor heating. But if I understood correctly, the KSS is only used for impact sound insulation.

I am really curious, underfloor heating without screed.....how is proper heat transfer supposed to take place?
