Wall tiles up to the ceiling, I haven’t seen that in ages.

We will do it like that too. Better to do everything right once than to have to paint every few years. If you have nice tiles, it looks great.

It's all a matter of taste. For me, it looks like you want to slaughter a cow there. You could then directly steam it off on a large scale with a [Kärcher]. O.k, that was a bit exaggerated.

If you use white tiles like in a [slaughterhouse], then certainly.

I personally have installed tiles in apartments that were only tiled halfway up the wall. You immediately saw scratches, dirt, or similar on the untiled walls, and the whole thing looked unfinished to me.

But heavily exaggerated [emoji12] I have never seen a slaughterhouse with slightly larger tiles. [emoji202][emoji243][emoji233][emoji230]

For example, I don't like half-tiled bathrooms. If it were up to me, the guest bathroom would also be tiled. Here, I'm already annoyed by the transition from ceiling-high to 1.5m.
And if I already take many concrete tiles, then at least I can set myself apart from the crowd with ceiling-high ones.

But you're right, by tiling it all the way up, the corner currently lacks contrast. But if the shelf surfaces are changed to gray and a bathtub cover is added on top, it will look better visually. Who knows, maybe a shelf will be added later, but it has to match the gray furniture.

Currently, we have it like this.
It is a shower tray.
