Yeah, yeah, myths. Well, here is the reality.

"similar to RAL 7016," as a popular example nowadays, looks different in foil-coated plastic than in anodized or powder-coated aluminum. Both in surface texture and in color shade. And significantly so. That’s the point. We carry a RAL color fan for samples, the differences are sometimes hair-raising.
And then people have an aluminum door, next to it foil-coated fixed glass elements and two steps away a garage door from, say, Hörmann, which looks different again.

The foil wrapping doesn’t cost the earth, and aluminum can be wrapped just as easily as the plastic it is supposed to match. The durability of the aluminum is not affected by this. That would not be a reason for me to forego aluminum on a front door (personally, I also wouldn’t on windows, but in that case McDiscount-socialized consumers have a different attitude).

Today our staircase was installed in the basement and the ceiling in the terrace area was poured. We really like the hallway in the basement.

Could you please highlight the advantages compared to plastic for the McDonalds faction among the forum members, which in your opinion justify the demanded additional cost? How does aluminum in 7016 perform with large south-facing window areas in summer? No cracking?

For someone who is a retired manufacturer, those advertising clichés are still deeply ingrained in you. Or are there plastic windows that are not "McDiscount" to you? What do you think is the reason why 90% of consumers have preferred plastic windows for decades, and what can an aluminum manufacturer learn and improve from that? Your previous statements on this sound more like a stubborn child who chose the wrong candy.

Wrapping is possible. You can also wrap new leather sofas in foil. If you like that.
