I think that's a statement that's really rare :)
Nice to read that once.

One can also interpret it as dissatisfaction when the sentence is said during the process of designing the rooms ;) where is the fake fire being broadcast? Have you completely given up on TV in the living room now?

Dissatisfaction? Could theoretically be, but in this case: Nah!
The first part of the sentence is:
" building the house was a lot of funt "

I thought the same right away,
we are so happy with our house, that will be fully enjoyed first.
:)

We think the house is great and we are happy here, but as mentioned, it would be "even greater" with more windows and French doors. ;-) Also, next time we would give the architect more leeway ... we just thought we could do it. ;-)

The TV (50 inches) is behind the picture and I simply bought a canvas picture that I have liked for a long time and now always hang it in front of it when the TV is off. I am really bothered by the black holes. They severely disturb my well-being and I feel "sucked into" the black holes. I don't know how other people "emotionally process" these dominant black holes, often in a central spot, maybe it's a habit. Those who like gray and anthracite tones anyway will probably be less bothered. It's basically a black picture right in the middle of the room.

"giving the architect more room to maneuver" only makes sense once he has proven himself.

I have made some decisions myself that might have been better done differently, but in my perception, there are some stupid things that I prevented ...

... with the black TV holes, it's like this for me: I love it because there is absolute silence as long as it is black – and the color somehow clearly expresses that for me ...
