Preparations for the underfloor heating are underway with us.

Screed is to be installed so that we can heat up over December.

What kind of plaster is that, and why was it chosen?

Is cold-cement plaster that is only a few days old. We had the choice between gypsum and lime-cement. We looked at both variants in other houses of our [GU] (small local family-owned business) and also followed the advice of the boss.

That's cool.

I am exactly facing the same decision and am also leaning towards lime cement, although a lot of gypsum is recommended to me.

What were your reasons for lime cement?

To be honest, we found the gypsum plaster visually nicer, but that is a matter of taste. Since we did not install a ventilation system, better regulation of moisture was important to me. I also liked the traditional craftsmanship, it fits well with us and the whole project.
