Why do you actually have such a huge chimney?

No need to be jealous!

It's not that huge, it just extends about half a meter above the roof ridge as required here. That's more due to the perspective and the chimney's exit point from the roof. The latter is due to the position of the stove in the living room.

So quite a lot has happened in 4 weeks, but there were still easily 1.5 weeks of downtime, which could have made things go a lot faster.

From the outside, you can hardly see anything new here, we are currently waiting for the garage (delivery time postponed by about 4 weeks) and still waiting for the plumber. This week, the tiles on the ground floor, bathroom, guest toilet, and utility room were supposed to be laid, now postponed because of another construction site
whatever... tomorrow we want to get the outdoor lighting and start painting next week.
We have now postponed our move to the beginning of September.

We would love to be that far along too!

Since the last picture here a few weeks ago:
- Ground floor exterior walls completed
- Ground floor ceiling poured - ventilation ducts embedded again
- Upper floor exterior walls nearly finished
- Drainage pipes laid and sewer connection installed
- Strip foundations for garage excavated and concreted
- Garage floor slab prepared for concreting
- Foundation for the wall at the end of the property excavated and concreted

Lately, progress is being made; before that, it was slow for a while.
