The difference is due to the fact that moisture occurring in the concrete cellar drips down the wall and later evaporates again without causing damage. As long as it is not a permanent condition. The wooden cellar is likely to be much more sensitive in this regard, as drying out to the outside is not possible due to the membranes in the cellar area.

Just a question, how long does it take from digging out the cellar pit until the cellar floor slab is prepared (gravel, compacting, formwork, insulation, etc.)? Do you think it will be done by the end of next week? That was yesterday. I assume that the cellar will be completely excavated today and the railing compacted.

I have to get this off my chest because I was at the construction site earlier. My neighbor got his WU concrete precast basement today. The gap between the basement walls was sealed everywhere with construction foam. I thought I wasn’t seeing right. Great WU basement.

Is the basement made of cast-in-place concrete or precast elements?

Question about your masonry walls. Why are there stones lying on top of them?

They are precast parts.

@Wall panels: Because the stones hold the sealing membrane (which seals the gap between the L-blocks) in place. Someone thought ahead there even though it wasn’t commissioned . If you zoom in at the neighbor's place below, you can see them.

I had already suspected that. So they didn’t install adhesive sealing membranes but loose ones?
