At the summer solstice on 06/21, sunset this year was at 9:53 p.m., the "last light" was at 10:46 p.m.
This would only shift forward by one hour with permanent standard time, so the sun until just before 9 p.m., twilight until just before 10 p.m.
That sounds a lot less terrible to me than "sitting in the dark at 8-9 p.m."
That would then be the absolute optimum.
The summer solstice is only one day, after all.
I am currently noticing extremely how much the missing light is taking a toll on me again.
Fortunately, "the people" are not allowed to decide everything.
If anything, then permanent standard time.
But the fun society wouldn’t go along with that—so good that they are not allowed to decide.
What arguments (apart from it being the "normal" time) speak in favor of permanent standard time?
