What is wrong with the garden? I don't get it. It's nicely done, isn't it? And it doesn't look that small. Show me all your gardens before you all hate his so much. I'm curious.

I can't see any "hate" here. Some just don't like it. Me neither. I don't like either gabions or wire mesh fences with plastic sheets inside. I think it looks cheap. I also think that too many materials and styles were mixed. I don't understand this wooden path through the gravel either. It starts weirdly with a step, then you're supposed to keep walking over stone slabs to the lounge thing. But there is also a bench with a wooden surface right in the middle of the gravel. To get there, you have to wade through the gravel, despite the wooden path and stone slabs being relatively close by. To me, it somehow seems without a concept and overloaded. I would have either taken the wooden path or the stone slabs and not this mix. Still, it must have been hard and exhausting, so "like" for doing it yourself. The rest is a matter of taste.

Well, neighbors usually come as a Colorado mix, so it’s not just Brad and JLo represented, if you know what I mean. In that respect, sometimes you don’t really want to know what they look like sunbathing. It wouldn’t bother me if they counted my calories.

I won’t post anything from my garden. As regular forum readers know, the apartment is not on it. Even further away than the garage. No more details will be put on the Internet.

You don’t need any more ideas, you already have too many of them. Either halve the number of ideas you implement at the same time or double the garden size, then it will make an impact. Everything looks nice, just densely packed like bouillon cubes.

If I had a West German garden (meaning together with the apartment on the same property), I would probably do it like (you just have to scroll back a few months in this thread).

So, our garden looks like this:
At the back, a bank planted with shrubs. In front, the house with garage and terrace, on the sides hedges as boundaries. Since it slopes slightly upward, there is a step with planting rings from the terrace to the lawn. Planted with roses among other things. But above all roses. There is no fence at all. Neighbors don’t have one either. We just don’t stare at each other on the terraces, and that’s it. Towards the street, we have two gravel parking spaces, one in front of the garage, one parallel to the street, plus a front garden with many different grasses, flowers, bushes. Also no fence at the front. Uploading pictures doesn’t work, too big. K.

I will be very happy to post our wild - certainly too wild for many - [Ökogarten] once it is finished. So earliest next summer.

@11ans: too bad... I was really curious about how you designed your garden. To the rest: All good. Thank you very much for your praise but also your criticism. Exactly to hear your opinion, I posted the pictures online. I will reflect on it and see to what extent I can and will implement the points you mentioned.
