Yes, unless a fee invoice follows for the kind notification :) ( ... then the praise would be bought. ;-) )

Especially since you are probably self-taught. ;-)

I am adding another question, with a request for photos. I haven’t found a better thread for this, and if you respond with photos, my question fits well here, as does the question about the house number placement, I think. If you find a better place for this, please let me know for the future.

What do/did your temporary mailboxes look like, and did you assemble them yourselves? Or did you install/set up the final mailbox immediately upon registration with the residents' office? I actually want to buy/set up the final mailbox only after I have lived in the house for a while and have a feeling for how we will design the front yard/entrance area.

I don't understand. You already have rough ideas of your (front) garden, don't you? Do you want one in pink, matching the little flowers? Then buy one. ... it takes 1-2 years until the first bloom appears. I believe that you can choose very well what matches the house. Then it also fits the front yard (although I would always orient myself to the house in such a decision). This applies to every accessory in a specific room: You surely don’t choose the kitchen handles based on your dish towels, but according to the kitchen front. Right? (o_O)

...Temporary mailbox :D That's really funny :D

I completely agree with , if the overall appearance including the mailbox is important to me, then I plan it in advance along with the house.
Since the garden is "in front of the house" for us, we had to think about the "doorbell situation" anyway and therefore installed a built-in mailbox including doorbell in the concrete pillar of the carport.

This is what our "temporary" mailbox looked like. I didn't have one, and the fence was already there when we moved in. Otherwise, I would buy a cheap "everyday mailbox" and attach it to a wooden post. That's how almost "everyone" does it. ;)

I imagine a rather nostalgic mailbox, something like in the photo, but I am not yet sure where exactly on the property we will place it, as we have not yet finalized the path layout. As far as I know, it has to be set in concrete, and I do not want to or have to move it later.
